Management of the reclamation regime of the degraded peat involved in the circulation

Abstract
The purpose of the research is to manage the reclamation regime of degraded peat soil to increase productivity and environmental sustainability of reclaimed agricultural landscapes in the Non-Chernozem zone of the Russian Federation. Materials and methods: system analysis, balance method and field experience with early-ripening potatoes. Under experimental conditions, the technology of involving degraded peat soil (agrozem) into circulation, including plowing operations, milling, and the use of operational hydro-reclamation recycling to moisten the agrozem, has been tested. At the same time, decompression of the arable soil layer by 1.2 times compared with the fallow and an increase in potential fertility was achieved. In the prevailing hydrometeorological conditions of the moderately hot and moderately humid growing season, one irrigation with drainage waters of 25 mm was carried out. Irrigation water supplied about 4 kg/ha of ammonium and more than 10 kg/ha of carbon to the soil. The average drainage flow modulus was 0.176 l/s•ha. The average daily natural soil washability, formed by atmospheric precipitation, was 2.2 mm/day in the absence of technological washability. Treatment of potato tubers with potassium humate significantly increased yields by 1.96 t/ha, or 7.56%, compared with the control. Humidification increased yields by 2.1 t/ha, or 8.1% compared to the control. The combined use of moisture and potassium humate increased yields by 1.39 t/ha, or 4.98%, and by 1.25 t/ha, or 4.46%, compared with potassium humate. According to the total water consumption per unit of production, the most effective option was the addition of potassium humate – 57.7 m3/t. In terms of irrigation water consumption, the most effective option is with the combined use of humidification and potassium humate – 8.5 m3/t, and the most expensive option with humidification – 8.9 m
